Modules extend the capabilities of Mambo by giving it new
functionality. Modules are small content items that can be displayed
anywhere depending on the template design. Modules are very easy to
install using the Mambo administrator. Mambo modules may include:
Main Menu, Top menu, Template Chooser, Polls, Newsflash, Hit Counter,
etc. Members of the Mambo Community produce Mambo modules on a
continuous basis. Some of the free Mambo modules can be downloaded
from http://www.joomlahacks.com/joomla/modules/0,0,0,0,5,0,7/.
