I installed smf 1.1 bata and mos-smf 1.3.2b with my Mambo 4.5.2.3. Everything works fine. However, when user received a notification mail for the reply message posted on a member only board and try to assess smf through the url link, smf will first prompt a Hacking Attempt error and then link to the smf login screen. No matter what you input to the login form, a error message about missing user id and password will pop out again and again.
What can be done to overcome this Hacking Attempt error?
If I change the url to: http://host/smf/index.php?topic=xxx.new;topicseen#new, the system will work properly.
The problem, therefore, should be that: 1. user need to login to view private forum; 2. SMF linked to its login screen directly (not through mambo-smf forum component); 3. trigger "hacking attempt", therefore die!
Anybody can advise me how to:
1. rectify the error; or 2. disable the hacking attempt check; or 3. modify the notification mail so that the url can be pointed to the index.php instead of smf-mambo forum?
We've been really busy lately. We'll try to fix all these issues on the next beta. On the other hand, we'll appreciate if anyone on the forum can come up with a solution.
