Can registration send additional info?
« on: August 21, 2005, 06:15:44 AM »

We're using the latest, non-beta of CB, SMF and Mambo.

I've added an extra text entry box for new user registration and it works well enough. That is, it shows up in the community builder information like it should.

I'm wondering if it's possible to get the text that registrants enter there sent via the admin notification e-mail as well? I'd imagine it's prolly a simple little hack somewhere, but I haven't a clue where to being to look to tell it to include that information as well.

Any tips?

As registration is run through the Mambo or CB registration process depending upon what you've chosen to use, this would really be more a matter of hacking the registration process.

For mambo, it would be hacking the main code.  With CB, it's a matter of modifying the CB component to include such functionality.

Not sure about the mambo registration, but I know that over on the CB forum several people have made mention of this possibility, though little progress has been made as of yet.

If you or anyone else is interested, just hop on over and join in!  Grin
