Just installed SMF Mambo forum - blank screen

Hi!  I just installed SMF/Mambo forum, and it doesn't seem to work correctly.  I can launch the forum directly using www.mydomain.com/forum, and it works fine.  But I've created a menu item in mambo to the component, and it just brings up a blank screen.  Thinking it was a permission problem, I chmod'd all forum directory to 755.  No luck!

Any suggestions?
