Headers error message with Wrapper on
« on: July 17, 2005, 07:10:53 AM »

Hi,

I've suddenly started getting an error message on my forum component. The error says "2: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent
File: /home/virtual/site7/fst/var/www/html/index.php
Line: 214" and the page does not load up.

The error goes away if I select 'unwrapped' from the smf configuration.

This error is usually caused by extra spaces or lines but I can't find any.

I thought it might be my custom template, but when I change the template to the standard mambo one, I still get the problem.

Could anyone suggest any files that might be causing this. I haven't edited any except for my own template - and I still get the problem when I switch to the standard template so I don't think it's this one.

Any help would be appeciated, I was really impressed with how this was working and would like to get it back in 'wrapped' mode asap.

Chris,

I have been getting this error in a big way. I just got it sorted on my test server - not sure exactly why as I only found an extra line after the </body> in my template. I changed that on my live site without any change.

I don't think that it can be a SMF file as the forum worked fine when accessed directly.

Still working on my version of this issue.

Hi Scott,

I believe these errors are usually due to extra line breaks at the end of .php files after the closing ?>

The strange thing is that I'm sure I didn't edit any files when it stopped working. I was looking at one topic, then another and suddenly it stopped working and never came back.

Agree that it is probably the mambo side of things rather than SMF as the SMF works fine 'unwrapped' or on it's own.

Let me know if you get it fixed. I'm still struggling.

i dont know if you have succeeded in resolving the problem - but i did...

errors showed up just after i've edited some language files (my board is polish) - so after some hours i decided to change language to english, delete (or copy to somewhere) all lang files, upload only english files (from smf install package)

Errors just gone... i believe i've done something wrong but don't know what Smiley

regards
