How do I install the 1.3.1.1 patch? and other questions

I've installed 1.3.1 and the mods and now I want to install the patch.  Where do I install it to.  Do I use my ftp or do I use the admin page on mambo.  Thanks.  Also, it seems that this mod, still has some major issues, when you log in on the mambo page, it doesn't log you into the forums.

Please try v.1.3.1.2. That might have solve your login issue.

Just re-install everything. Let me know what happens.
