installed bridge w/ Gallery integration
« on: June 08, 2005, 11:43:54 PM »

It's me again Smiley

I looked around a bit and gathered some info, just to be sure, before I came to post this thread.

It appears that, when the bridge is installed, the pop-ups that Gallery uses to allow additional actions - specifically uploading pictures - do not function.  The error given is :

"init.php: gallery seems to be inside Mambo but we can't get the necessary info."

If you uninstall the bridge, the process works just fine again.

Also, while the bridge is installed the "skin/theme" is broken - it returns when the bridge is uninstalled.

Here is the link to this issue in the Gallery forums - and yes, I've tried installing the latest stable version of Gallery (1.5) - no fix.  I don't know what piece it is that is being accessed differently to cause the error, but thanks in advance for the help Smiley

Ok, so I never actually found an answer to this problem Tongue

What I did discover was that by updating to the latest version of gallery (G2 - which is still in beta) it is no longer an issue.  The new component used to integrate G2 does not have the same conflicts and the bridge works just fine.

If anyone does ever figure out the problem, I would still like to know how to fix it.  'Til then, I would suggest to anyone who can that they go ahead and migrate to G2.

Thank you all for your time and interest Smiley

Nichlous,

The error you encountered is probably related to the issue discussed here. And there was a patch posted in that thread.
