I have moved this issue here from the 1.2.0 Bugs section.
I use Mambo 4.5.1b, SMF 1.0.3 and SMF Mambo Integration 1.3.0
In the SMF user database I have 2,000 users. In Mambo SMF Integration configuration I click on "click to synch" for the user data (all other items are marked as "installed" or "done"). Then I get thrown out to a login screen of the Mambo admin page.
After that I checked the user table in phpMyAdmin and there were now 262 users. Back in Mambo admin I checked the user management and there are just the 2 listed which I registered before in Mambo (admin and 1 user). But the line underneath the userlist lists many pages and says: "1-10 of 262" ! When I click on other page numbers there are no users listed but the line underneath says "11-20" (in page 2) or "261-262 of 262" on the last page.
So it looks as if the user integration only integrated 260 users and then stopped for some reason. Funny thing is, I can log in in Mambo with one of the other user-ids (above the 262).
1. Mambo 4.5.1b is installed 2. SMF 1.0.3 is installed 3. phpBB2 is installed
all 3 databases are in one database, (mos_, phpbb_ and smf_)
Converted the phpBB_db into smf_db - no errors Installed the SMF Mambo Integration component (1.3b1) - no errors In smf installed the MOD - no errors In Mambo Admin went to Components - SMF-Mambo Integration - Configure Filled in the path and marked the box "Existing SMF userdata" - no errors Clicked on "Patch mambo index.php file" - changes to green "done" Clicked on "click to sync" to synchronize the user database - get thrown out and I see the admin login for the Mambo administration.
After that I look at the user list in Mambo administration and again: It tells me that there are 262 users but listed are only 2. All other pages just tell me they show "21 - 30 of 262" or 31 - 40 of 262" but no users are listed. In SMF I have 2,000 users, all are listed in SMF
So it has to be the synch routine which barfs at a large user database, I presume. Is there any way to fix that or synch manually (using phpMyAdmin)?
it seems like an issue w/ large data... let me see what I can do.
Actually even you have not sync, those users can still login thru mambo. The only purpose of sync is to prohibit visitor to register usernames that's already in SMF.
No, we just tested it with a group of users. Those who are among the first 262 can login via Mambo, the others can not. All users who are not synch'd can only login in the forum and only use the forum. They are not able to use Mambo functions (writing news, etc.).
Those users (262) who are in the mos_users database have to log in first in the forum and after they have been in the forum once they are also able to login via Mambo. All other users can not login via Mambo, even if they have visited the forum before.
But then again still those 260 users of the mos_users table are not listed in the user table in Mambo administration, although the statistic line beneath the list says that there are 22 pages of users.
This thing is giving me the creeps. Just moving this phpBB forum into a new environment keeps me busy now for more than 5 days - without having finished the task yet!
