SMF Admin Opening in New Window
« on: April 26, 2005, 07:09:46 PM »

Internet Explorer
When clicking on SMF Admin button it opens a new window instead of opening wrapped, with Admin still logged in.

get popcorn and watch it --> HERE-IE

FireFox
When clicking on SMF Admin button it opens a new window instead of opening wrapped but unlike IE it requires re-enter of username and password.

get popcorn and watch it --> HERE-FF

That's one of the changes in 1.3. Admin link will now launch a new window unwrapped. Reason: there are some issues when it's wrapped. I have no time to exert more effort to make this pretty for now. It's just a backend stuff. Members or Search Engines does not see this, just you.. the admin.

Now, i'm curious why it's asking you again for user/password in FF.

I'll have this on my list.

I think this has nothing to do with the integration
try checking the "Disable administration security" in your SMF admin's "Edit Features and Options"

Tried your suggestion no difference same as before (happens only in FireFox).

Running Mambo-SMF 1.3.0b1 with SMF 1.0.3 and Mambo 4.5.2.1

Tried:
IE 6
Opera 7,5 + 8
Mozilla 1.7.5
Firefox 1.0.3

Works nicely. Cannot reproduce this error.

Do you mean the Admin Center doesn't open in a new window or the second issue which I have with Firefox

I meant the Firefox issue.

Admin center opens in a new window - as you can see from admin's post above, it's supposed to be like that for now. I agree that admin should not spend time sorting out those types of small issues now, the frontend should be the priority.

I too agree, but since the component is beta I thought to mention this kind of issues so can be fix (if fixable).

As for the login error I tested on three computer same result.

PC1:
AMD
Windows XP SP1
Firefox 1.0.3

PC2:
P4
Windows XP Sp1
Firefox 1.0.3

PC3:
Dell 9100

Firefox 1.0.3
