« on: April 28, 2005, 10:26:23 PM »

i have a problem, in user manager inside mambo, i can see "of 3984" with 80 pages but only 10 pages shows members (every page display 50 member) i checked the mos_users table in mysql i found 3983 entries (one is missing) but how come that there's 3983 entrie and only 500 are shown Shocked Shocked
anyway how to fix this?Huh because i need to put a user a news writer and with SMF 1.2 i couldn't find him he wasn't synchronised also in 1.3 i can't find him neither,
do all members have to log in so i can see them?Huh

i've just seen the there's another topic about this so i'm not the only one, what can be the reason, since all members that are showed and not showed have the similar data in phpmyadmin Shocked

here's two lines i've taken from php-myadmin
Code:
4046  bonz0  bonz0  removed  pass      18  2005-04-29 02:01:35  0000-00-00 00:00:00
4047 testing testing2005 removed pass   0 0 18 2005-04-29 04:04:05 2005-04-29 04:04:54
can you see any difference except the last login date/time???

If you already have a Mambo site with users, and then start using SMF from scratch with this 1.3 bridge, users will need to login to Mambo as usual and visit your SMF forum once, before they are registered (and visible) in SMF.

no it isn't like this, i had the forum first, and i used SMF-Mambo integration 1.2, now i switched to 1.3 because mainly users didn't come to mambo user manager, now i was happy that it does it by simple click!!!! and no i can't see members in mambo, only in SMF which is weird no?

It'slike Gandalf says.

A detailed description of the situation:

smf and mambo tables installed in the same database.
I converted a phpBB database of around 2,000 users and more than 70,000 postings (64MB) to the smf installation and there all users were integrated in the database, all users are listed in the smf users list and the forum works without errors.

Then I installed the MamboSMF Integration component - no errors.
Then I installed the SMFMambo MOD package in SMF without errors - all in the green.
Then I went to the Mambo admin page and to the component configuration, according to the installation instructions.
There I filled in the correct path to the smf installation, marked the checkbox for existing SMF user data. All signs are showing green and "installed" or "done".
Then I clicked on "Patch mambo index.php file" and it changed to a green "done".
Then I clicked on "click to sync" in fromnt of "Synchronize Mambo and SMF users" and I get thrown out of the admin screen. A login for the admin screen is showing. I login, go to the configuration of the integration component and there the "click to sync" is still there.

I checked the user table mos_users and it shows only 262 users (I had cleaned it out before, leaving only the admin user).
I checked the user management screen in mambo administration and the list shows only 3 users. But the line underneath says that there are 262 users. In all listed pages (22) the line says that it's showing user 21-30 or 31-40, etc. but no users are listed.

Versions:
Mambo 4.5.1b
com_mambo_smf_integration_1.3b2.zip
SMFMamboMod_1.3b1a.zip

just repeat what i said before, smf user can log to mambo and data will sync automatically. The only purpose of sync is to avoid visitors to register an exisiting username in SMF. Let me see what I can do to fix this sync for large number of data.

yes but what if i want to make a user a news publisher??? i have a user who wants to be news publishe, i was trying to give him permissions since a week ago but i can't, even when he login logout from mambo or from smf i can't see him in the user manager of mambo, anyway the sync i think it is ok, i can see using phpmyadmin ALL users but only about 20% are listed in the user manager, i don't understand why, maybe a bug in mambo Roll Eyes Huh

I have the same problem here. I need to make some people responsible for different parts of Mambo, one of them as a substitute for me as superadmin. But I can't because I don't get his name on the list (although he's one of the lucky 10% of users which were sych'd from the smf user table to the mambo user table.).
What's worse: 90% of the smf users aren't even in the mambo user-table, so I can't let them do anything in Mambo, except read the contents. Logging in and out of SMF does not alter anything here.
I have to let the substitute register with a second ID now so that I can take 2 days off!

There's a bug in sync. I'm still trying to fix it.

Ok get patch2 here. I tested it with 3000 dummy data, it synced well on my demo site.

I have an excisting Mambo userdatabase withm more then 2000 entries. And I have the bridge allready working. How do I resync the userdata between Mambo and SMF now to have even usernumbers in SMF and Mambo. Now SMF shows only 280 users... that looks a bit odd.

Thanks in advance Cheesy

Hmm, do I really have to go all the way back to use this? Meaning: de-install the MOD in SMF, de-install the component in Mambo, empty the Mambo user table. Insert the patched files into the MOD and the component and then re-install everything?

I just overwrote the 2 files in the live installation, went to the Mambo admin, again clicked on "Click to synch" the user tables, but nothing changed.

yes, you did right. the instruction on beta2a patch 2 is just overwrite the 2 files. (But of course you should have beta2a).
