"Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet" error
« on: April 12, 2005, 03:15:35 AM »

hi
maybe you can help
when I try to access my mambo page with firefox it work perfectly.
If I try to access it with ie (from the office, where I unfortunately am not allowed to install ff) it produces an error:

"The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A name contained an invalid character. Error processing resource 'http://thecarebears.shrinkhead.ch/wow/index.php'. Line 5...

                      <td nowrap><span class="pathway">Cave </span>
--------------------------------^"

it works to display the mambo index when the template is unpatched
if it gets patched, something causes the error.

the backend error messages are uncritical as i think, as it seems to have nothing to do with the problem.

the error messages in the backend are as follow:

can you please try this one.

Patch it again. After you patch it, edit the Mambo template and remove the following comment tags around the Mambo-SMF code.

<!-- Begin Mambo-SMF -->
<!-- End Mambo-SMF -->

Let me know if it works. And can you please also tell me your IE version.

And yes, the backend error is uncriticial. Your server does not allow fopen().
