Undefined Index 'action'
« on: April 09, 2005, 05:45:59 AM »

Hi All,

I'm not sure if this is a bug or I'm being a muppet... Huh

I'm just trying to get this working and go tto the stage that it should all appear. If 'unwrapped' is chosen all is well, but when I try to wrap the forums into the site template (just using the standard ones while I get everything working) I get the following error:

Notice: Undefined index: action in /home/falsail/domains/falmouth-sailing.co.uk/public_html/mambo/components/com_smf/smf.php on line 91

Looking at line 91 of said file the problem appears to be that the $_REQUEST array doesn't have an 'action' index.

Any thoughts wouold be gratefully received...

System running:
Fedora Core 3
Apache1.3
php 4.3.10
MySQL 4.1
Mambo 4.5.2
SMF1.03

CHeers,

I am not aware of this issue. Please confirm from the component administration if the "Installation Checklist" are all completed.

yes, the installation checklist was all checked and completed...

I've look into the file and at line 91

{
Code:
if ($wrapped==true && $_REQUEST['action']!="printpage" && $_REQUEST['action']!="findmember" && $_REQUEST['action']!="helpadmin") {

You assume that $_REQUEST['action'] will always have a value which is not true. I have no time to fix it, but i think you get the idea...

I see your point, but I was wondering why it's not causing a problem here and there were no early reports about this.

Well, it should be quick edit but I don't have a way to test it. Can you just add that condition to check the action field and test it.

thanks.
