It's not realy a bug
if You switch from localhost to live server (or otherwise), there is a path setting also in ../ administrator/components/com_smf.php

well, the hack (bridge) should fatch the path from the configuration file

Well, its on a local machine, but it doesn't matter.
There is a bug with $this & php5.
I am afraid if the providers start to switch to php5 there will be a lot of  angry users ...
