Was using the other bridge, but I am using your bridge now. I am still using the related topics mod made by the other bridge and it works fine except for one item. It shows related posts not related topics. For EX: If I have a post with 3 replies, 4 items are shown (for all posts) and not 1 (for just the topic). It should be just the topics since that is the name of the mod.
If you notice on the right menu in the Relted Forum Topics area, there are replies to the topics as well. I want just the topics. If they want to see the replies, have them go to the full topic.
The new file fixed the Error 500 message. The Mambo Admin is now accessable and all is green and OK. How did you find that? Did the access help? Do you need further access?
FYI - Logging into the admin page of SMF (Administration Center) and viewing the version info, it still reads 'SMF 1.0.0 for Mambo' even though when I go to details, the rest still reads as:
SMF File Your Version Current Version SMF Package SMF 1.0.0 for Mambo SMF 1.0.3 Sources 1.0.3 1.0.3 Default Templates 1.0.3 1.0.3 Language Files 1.0.1 1.0.1
Clearly this is a minor problem as the forum itself and the Mambo admin page now work.
Does this have anything to do with why SEF may not work properly?
Thanks for all your help & get some sleep, ddonzal
I did some more thorough testing, and here's what I found:
1. I registered a new test user just fine. Got the email, and activated the account. Logged in to my site http://www.certifiedsecuritypro.com and created a new post. All went fine. 2. The user is listed in the Mambo User Manager 3. Apparently keeping the SMF Absolute Path: /homepages/1/d109832938/htdocs/dsc136942053/forum seems to allow the forum to work although I continue to get the Error 500. 4. SEF doesn't work and neither does dynamic titles. I may tackle this if we get the Error 500 worked out.
So currently I'm seeing no benefit to making the change from the SMF Bridge to this Integration. I still have high hopes, but I'm on a deadline to have a working site by tomorrow.
I just changed the path in the config file manually, and I can now login to the com config page. Here's what I get:
Permission Settings: All 4 set to 'is writeable.' SMF Absolute Path: (incorrect path) /homepages/1/d109832938/htdocs/dsc136942053/administrator/components/com_smf/ 'Don't know what it should be.' I tried SEF and no go. I keep getting Error 404. That's the next issue to tackle, since this is the main reason I made the switch. Currently it is off within Mambo.
Don't know if this helps, but I saw in the other post that others saw SMF as version 1.0.0 even after the upgrade to 1.0.3. When I did the initial install of MSI 1.2.0, I did see it set to version 1.0.3. Now it's set to 1.0.0.
Whenever I try to get to the Mambo-SMF Integ Config page through Mambo admin, I get 'Error 500: Internal Server Error.' This all started when...
I had Mambo-SMF Bridge v2.2 installed for SMF 1.0.2 on www.certifiedsecuritypro.com running Mambo 4.5.1b. All was running fine, but I got excited about SEF possibilities. I just couldn't leave well enough alone.
I upgraded SMF to 1.0.3. Deleted the Bridge, Login Module and Who's Online Module. Installed 1.2.0 b3 following instructions in the readme.
At this point I could logon to the Mambo admin page and get to the Mambo-SMF Integ Config page. But my forum path was incorrect. It was pointing to the com folder not the forum folder. As soon as I changed the path, I started to get the 500 error. So now I can't even get to the config page to change it back.
