well, we have at least three such merges already made...
I created a merged template between the AkoWinter mambo design and the loon-blue SMF design... called it Winterloon.
Someone else did a merge for SMF with the Planetfall mambo template (which was unchanged)
And one other one was made... can't recall which.
There's a thread on this on the SMF mambo discussion forum.
It should be noted that sharing the Stylesheet files, etc is not a great design idea, for a couple of reasons. The two biggest reasons are: 1) not everyone has the saem setup in terms of directories, etc) 2) if you upgrade mambo or SMF, it could screw things up
So, I think what we've don so far... designing smf and mambo templates to work together under their own base design (in other words, use the standard directory structure and duplicate things where needed) is the best idea.
OH yeah... that was you... I'm on too many different boards. lol!
note: I have modified the module to v1.5 to deal with the new method in Orstio's 3.14 bridge. Someone want to test this on a mambohacks' v1.30 stable and make sure I didn't break anything?
strangely enough, it works properly (as written) on all versions of Orstio's bridge....
(BTW: There are three instances of ?action=)
Which version of the who's online2 module are you using? I have v1.4 at http://www.turtleshellprod.com/test/ mod_smf_online2v1.4.zip (which corrects the ?action lines, as you noted.)
However, if you were using the version that came with Orstio's bridge, then there are other issues. For one, Hidden users will not display correctly (they show up twice and add a blank line as well)
however, the "created" menu item does not actually point to the component. I always DELETE the created one (and empty the trash) and then make a new one that actually points to the component correctly.
you can also take a copy of footer.php from your mambo directory and place it in your theme directory... then change the call for footer.php to point to your new copy and change th ecopy around to suit....
That's what I did for my winterloon mambo/smf design (AkoWinter mambo and loon-blue SMF templates already optimizied for a bridged forum)
I agree, I prefer the SMF profile, myself, although I wish it were easier to add fields to it. I think Orstio's profile Manager will be the answer, when it comes out of Alphatest.
I have released the list the events & holidays module...
I am still working on the "show calendar" module. I have it displaying the current month, perfectly... I am now working to get it to allow the user to switch display months, within the module.
What with real life, etc... I am estimating a release around the end of May.
