1  MamboHacks.com / Mambo-SMF Integration 1.2.0 Support / Cookies without the "www"? on: May 07, 2005, 02:16:33 PM
I have the 1.20 version of the component and noticed that all my cookies except SMF are something like "username@www.mysite.com". SMF cookie is "username@mysite.com".

I have all the settings in SMF set to include "www", but apparently it's stripped somewhere along the line. So far there hasn't been a problem, but I'm still curious, just in case, so does anyone know where the www is being stripped?

Thanks in advance, Ferd
2  MamboHacks.com / Mambo-SMF Forum 1.3.0 Support / SMF Registration request on: May 04, 2005, 04:54:07 PM
Hi. I tried again to install the new version and again had to go back to 1.20. The Known issues post pretty much explained all that was wrong in my case.

After they are resolved, I'm hoping that you would consider having the option to register through SMF added in the configuration. My reason for asking this is that I have Hivemail installed and integrated with SMF (thanks to [unknown]'s mod), but not with Mambo.

The SMF registration would give my users the option to sign up for an email account automatically upon registration. It may be asking too much, but hey, it never hurts to ask.

Thank you, thank you.

I'm one of those who believes that a little redundancy is often a good thing. And when the forum is only one of more than a few points of interest on a site, that's all it would be, just a "little".

I really like those links there, regardless of whether members are in the forum or not, and the smf-login mod provides that. Thank you again for your prompt attention and action.

Keep up the great work, Ferd

Hello board.

Was there a specific reason for abandoning the smf-login mod?

Personally, I stopped using the Community Builder component, Events Calendar and MyPMS when your integration came with the login mod.

I would miss having the "Profile", "Calendar" and "Members List" menu items, along with the "Messages" notification no longer available, so for the time being, I'll stick with the pretty well thought out and functional 1.20 version.
