Title: Installation problem! - Need help
Post by: Casper on August 24, 2005, 10:56:08 AM
Hi all!

I've follow the guide for install of Mambo-SMF Forum, but when I goto my mambo admin panel and hit "Mambo-SMF" - "Configuration" I get this message at the bottom of the page: "INSTALLATION CHECKLIST:
installed Install SMF Forum on the same database as Mambo.
not installed Install SMFMamboMod.zip using your SMF Package Manager.
click to patch Patch mambo index.php file.
[verify] done Synchronize Mambo and SMF users. "

The problem is that I've installed SMFMamboMod.zip  but it says I havent!

Please help me ???

You need to make sure you apply the package in SMF. I think the installation is a two or three step process and I got caught out by exactly the same thing.

I am having the exact same problem, with a brand new installation of Mambo (4.5.2.3-stable), SMF 1.0.5, SMFMamboMod_1.3.1b.zip, and com_mambo_smf_forum_1.3.1.3.zip.

The directories from any previous attempts were deleted, everything uploaded new, and I have a fresh database, installing the Mambo and SMF tables into it.

SMFMamboMod_1.3.1b.zip has been uploaded to SMF and installed; com_mambo_smf_forum_1.3.1.3.zip has been uploaded into Mambo, installed, and everything configured except the part where it is supposed to take the SMF absolute path.  It refuses to believe me when I tell it where I put it.

Mambo works fine, SMF works fine, but they will not work together.
