Title: Error with installation
Post by: Goran on June 02, 2005, 10:01:47 AM
Configuration file (/web/7dtest.globalnet.hr/administrator/components/com_smf/config.smf.php) is writeable
Mambo cache directory (/web/7dtest.globalnet.hr/cache) is writeable
Mambo index file (/web/7dtest.globalnet.hr/index.php) is writeable
Mambo main path (/web/7dtest.globalnet.hr) is not writeable - but my administrator say to me that he put permissions on!!

when I click to button: click to patch - Patch mambo index.php file.i got message: Failed: Mambo main path or index.php is not writeable!

My main path and index.php are writable!!!!

When I open my web site on domain: http://7dtest.globalnet.hr and when I click on button "Forum" I get message: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: ob_fixurls() in /web/7dtest.globalnet.hr/components/com_smf/smf.php on line 39

What I need to do that my forum works?

Tnx, and sorry on bad english!  ;)

Well, you still don't have the permission. Just manually edit the file.

Rename mambo index.php to index.php~. Then get the file here (http://www.mambohacks.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,74/expv,1/topic,285.msg1349#msg1349).

copy and paste you "installation checklist" here. It's the one below the mambo-smf component administration.

I believe you are using an older version. Function ob_fixurls() no longer exists. Please uninstall and install 1.3.1.2.

I am having a similar problem ...

All fresh installations of Mambo 4.5.2.2 and SMF 1.0.3 with the latest version of Mambo-SMF 1.3.1.2 ...

Installed the Mambo component ...
Installed the SMF mod succesfully ...

Mambo is in the root directory and it cannot be made writeable in anyway.
index.php cannot be patched and it seems that users are not syncronized either .

What is the modifications made to mambo's index.php?
Can they be mabe manually? If yes, could you please provide the changes or kindly direct me to where I can find them?

Hope you can help ... TIA

Thank you Luke for pointing it out. I had tried that though, but then I got a single SMF entry page that is somehow totally reffering to mambohacks.com. I do not know if anyone else has tried to use this file, maybe they could sshare their experience or provide a hint

Unless of course I missed something along the way :(

Maybe if we could have the modifications required I could try to add them to the original index.php

The modifications are in that file. It's marked with MAMBOHACKS.COM.

At the danger of possibly sounding thick I am afraid I am totally missing something here ... The index.php available in the forum appears to be basically an SMF login page ... There are no mambo items on it ... Maybe because the initial thread (where the file is located) started because of login problems

If I am not mistaken the file that the SMF component is destined to patch is the mambo main "root" index.php file ...

Should I give up any hope of putting this on our server?  :(

I hope someone could help .. Possibly attach an updated and patched Mambo 4.5.2.2 index.php?

Thank you
