Title: Can't mod mambo index.php...how to do manually
Post by: Scott Anderson on May 11, 2005, 10:40:59 AM
Even with my main website folder set to 777 (that's right public_html), and the index.php set to 777, the link to modify the mambo index.php fails. What are the modifications that need to be made so that I can do this manaully.

PS: the spellcheck button does not work on the forum here, might be a SEF problem.

What version of Mambo are you using?
You need to CHMOD the index.php file to 777.

If Mambo 4.5.2 you might not have the ownership of the file(s), see --> HERE (http://forum.mamboserver.com/showthread.php?t=32695&page=1&pp=10) in that case use mamboXplorer (http://mamboforge.net/projects/mamboxplorer) to CHMOD the file(s)

Using 4.5.2 and have tried all methods of chmoding the files and am able to get the folder and the file to 777, but the link still fails. Pretty sure I know how to chmod a folder and file and it is working successfully, but still fails. Is there not a way to just add the bit of code manually?

P.S.: Does anyone know that the Spell Check function does not work??

Ok... backup your mambo index.php to index.php~ and use the attached one.
