Title: menu button for forum Post by: Matthew Kragness on April 28, 2005, 08:03:05 PM I am trying to create a button with a componet link to the com_smf componet like the the other intergrations do, but I don't have the smf componet in my list of componets to choose from. Maybe on the beta 2 or 3 you could include a checkbox on the config that puts a button on the menu bar automatically??
thanks Title: Re: menu button for forum Post by: Lifeischoice on April 28, 2005, 09:32:19 PM There is one automatically created for you "Forum" on your menu
Title: Re: menu button for forum Post by: Christopher Condrup on April 29, 2005, 02:44:24 AM To make a menu item for SMF in Mambo:
New -> component -> Mambo-SMF Integration Title: Re: menu button for forum Post by: Kindred on April 29, 2005, 12:04:02 PM however, the "created" menu item does not actually point to the component. I always DELETE the created one (and empty the trash) and then make a new one that actually points to the component correctly.
Title: Re: menu button for forum Post by: Christopher Condrup on April 29, 2005, 02:33:17 PM hmm... I never got one automatically... didn't realize it was supposed to be created either... was that because I already had a menu item with the title "forum" in my mainmenu, as I still had SimpleBoard installed at the time?
Title: Re: menu button for forum Post by: Matthew Kragness on April 29, 2005, 02:42:30 PM I could not get the menu button to work for me it always went to a blank screen? but I did just point a wrapper to the page and it works real good in Firefox...........The whole integration is a mess on IE

Title: Re: menu button for forum Post by: Matthew Kragness on April 29, 2005, 08:55:35 PM site is in development but you can find it here
http://atvunderground.com/home right now I am running mambo 4.5.2, smf 1.0.3 and the 1.3 beta 1 with the function.smf "modified". The menu link is just the wrapper module pointed @ the forum. Its seems to work okay in Firefox but you don't stay logged into the forum on IE when you click the forum button. I have tried beta 1 patch and beta 2 with nothing but problems with the logins and logouts.
