I searched and didn;t find anything in reference to my problem.

I am in the process getting ready to begin using the Mambo-SMF 1.3 but before i do i have a guestion regarding how to get this to work

Initially my two databases were seperate i have been able to merge the SMF database with the Mambo database using the smf_ prefix. I;ve done this locally on my test server. the login seems to be working except for some known issues that i can live with until the next version comes out.

My questions is do i have to reconfigure the settings in SMF to point to the mambo database now? I tried it on the test server but onece i changed this i was unable to login. Did i miss something?

SMF should point on whereever the datanase is. I'm just lost on how you merged it. The way to do it is, during SMF installation, assign the Mambo database as it's target DB. Otherwise, if you do some manual moving... change the SMF config manually.
