Title: Existing forums and Mambo site Post by: Mike on September 18, 2005, 04:32:05 PM I searched and didn;t find anything in reference to my problem.
I am in the process getting ready to begin using the Mambo-SMF 1.3 but before i do i have a guestion regarding how to get this to work Initially my two databases were seperate i have been able to merge the SMF database with the Mambo database using the smf_ prefix. I;ve done this locally on my test server. the login seems to be working except for some known issues that i can live with until the next version comes out. My questions is do i have to reconfigure the settings in SMF to point to the mambo database now? I tried it on the test server but onece i changed this i was unable to login. Did i miss something? The way to do it is, during SMF installation,assign the Mambo database as it's target DB. Otherwise, if you do some manual moving... change the SMF config manually.
