Machine : i686 OS : Linux PHP : 4.3.10 Apache : 1.3.33 MySQL : 4.0.23 Mambo : 4.5.2.1 SMF :1.0.3 Bridge : 1.3.1.2
I install and configure both mambo - with CB - and SMF.
Unintegrated, the regsitration process for mambo/CB works just fine. *As soon as* I install the bridge, the process breaks.
The emails that are sent to the admin have no information in them - it's just a copy of the notification with no user info.
When you access the mambo backend, the users are not listed in any form or fashion in the CB component (or the regular mambo user manager for that matter). The number of users is correct, you can even navigate to additional blank pages for the appropriate number of users.
When you check the actual database, the information is there. You can do a little fiddling and make it possible for those who have "registered" to log in, but that of course is not a preferred option.
----- EDIT -----
I'm certain it's the bridge now. Before installing it, there is no problem. When installed, the registration process breaks. After I uninstall the bridge, the registration process works fine again.
If you need any more information, just let me know. Whatever I can do - just tell me. Thanks again for your time.

Seeing similar symptoms on my site in very similar config. Mambo + CB Login for registration worked fine. Registration stopped working after I installed SMF & 1.3.1.2. Symptoms right now:
- Data goes into the comprofiler & mambo user tables in the database during registration just as it did before, but new users do not show up in backend CB or mambo user management screens. (Users registered prior to SMF & 1.3.1.2 install show up fine for some reason.)
- If I have email activation set to ON, the email that goes to the user's address is missing the activation link.
- Data does not go into the smf table when I register. (It goes into CB & mambo tables as mentioned above.) Doing a synch w/ Mambo-SMF Forum config attempts to add the correct number of users to the SMF table, but it corrupts the info. (Ex., it inserts "mambohacks.com" in the password field instead of the user's password.)
- I'm not sure, but the INITIAL sync of pre-existing users to the SMF members table may have worked correctly. I've wiped users since then except for admin. Users registered after SMF install don't show up in the CB or mambo user backend and don't seem to synch correctly to the SMF member table right now.
I am about to try uninstalling 1.3.1.2 to see if registration goes back to normal.
Uninstalled the component in Mambo. Left SMF & related tables in place. CB registration started working again. I can see new registrants in the backend again and the activation email content (when required) appears correct. May be a few days before I can reinstall component and troubleshoot further. Will report if I get it to work on my site.
Well, those few lines were what broke it. I edited the index.php and now it's working fine again. It was also causing an issue with Gallery popups not working - I have to integrate that again, then I'll check and see if that's fixed too.
THANK YOU for your time and hard work - this component is really an excellent piece of hackery
Some clarification, please. Is this problem resolved by using the Mambo index.php that Cowboy linked to in his previous post the solution to this issue?
