61  Mambo 3rd Party Addon Hacks / Mambot Hacks / Re: Add username to banner url!? on: August 03, 2005, 10:51:16 AM
Woostar,

This seems like a good idea but you need to track whether the user had already  clicked a certain banner. Otherwise, the system will get abused just to get rewards.

About the code, I think that's the exact code for the banner.

Anything but "mos_". Because this will mix with the mos tables. And it will be hard to identify which are smf's tables.

I suggest just use "smf_".

For sure Combuilder + Mambo-SMF work together. And I know some people is using coppermine with it. This guy here used G2.

(Thanks for the compliment about the site)

If it's working with the default mambo login or the optional login module, I guess you just need to check with the omecblogin author until I get a chance to take a look at it myself.

We're about to release 1.3.2 with SMF 1.1 support. We'll try to include the fix for this.

EDIT: Looks like this will be deferred. My server does not support spell check.

1.) For templates, SMF still has its separate CSS. You may have to edit it to make it consistent with mambo.

2.) Go to SMF site and look for the conversion script. I'm not just sure about your users table. You might need to mod the script.

That's what i'm saying. I guess there's still a need to save the state of some of the variables there, just like what's already done for $_REQUEST. In Mambo's index.php, $_REQUEST state is saved to $_TMP and retrieved back after the call to SSI.php.
