where do you get the "smf login" module? I didn't see that distibuted with the mambohacks package or in the downloads section of this site.

and what setting for the registration module do you use in the configuration for Mambo-SMF configuration, or does it matter?

thanks!
bob

Do you mean this - the  Mambo - SMf login module - what you're looking for?
2  General Discussion / Community Announcement / Mambo changes - how will they affect the Mambo SMF bridge? on: August 22, 2005, 10:47:41 PM
I'd guess that the kerfuffle with the Mambo team has the folks at MamboHacks jumping to see which way the wind will blow, and its early days, so no one really knows whats going to happen next

. . . but any thoughts on how this might affect the bridge?

I do know the "remember me" works on the login form for me - but it doesn't carry over to the forum. IOW, if I come back to the site after, say, overnight, the main site does remember me, but if I go to the forum, it doesn't.

Not sure that's related to your problem, but might help narrow it down some.

Pete -

I have the same problem. One question (just reaching for answers) . . . are you using TFSforMambo statistics package? I am, and for some reason I keep wondering if that may have something to do with it.
5  MamboHacks.com / Feedback / Mambo-SMF 1.3.2 Beta 1 For SMF 1.1 : Questions about upgrade on: August 05, 2005, 10:16:12 AM
Before I begin upgrading my forum and Mambo installation I wanted to check some things out that I saw on the upgrade instructions.

1. The steps in upgrading are to
   (1) uninstall the mod_smf_login module,
   (2) uninstall the Mambo component, and
   (3) uninstall the SMF-Mambo package.

Question: Is this the best time to actually do the upgrade to the forum itself, after everything is clean?

   (4) (re)install the component
   (5) (re)install the package.

2. Second question - the upgrade instructions don't say when to reinstall the login module - in fact, they don't mention reinstalling it at all. Would I just reinstall the module from the current version? Or does the login module not work with the new version of SMF? or what?

Just want to be sure I know what I'm doing before I smack my system  Grin

Did you sync your user tables? I'm running Mambo / Community Builder / SMF and seem to remember needing to to that.
