A new patch for Mambo was released. The patch fixed issues that allow an attacker, under various circumstance, to steal cookie information, initiatiate XSS and SQL injection attacks.Download the patch to upgrade Mambo to version 4.5.x.2 from mamboforge.net. Update: We encountered some issues on displaying an html code in a content which cause our server to crash. So we rolled back to v.4.5.2.1. We already submitted a bug report to MamboForge to investigate it. Track it here. Write Comment (1 Comments) |

It's been almost 5 months since we launched this website. Only hacked
mambo projects are what we initially planned to publish. Then the
contents just expanded to having our own projects plus other type of
helpful contents. Because of these various information, we decided to
re-design the site to neatly present it all to you. We hope you like the
new look. Give us your feedback.

This is new Mambo-SMF Forum. Old main functions and logics that
came from the original SMF-Bridge are now discarded. All original codes. And finally a true
bridge! Before we continue introducing more new features, we decided to re-engineer all the key functions. If we don't do this on the early stage, this component will end up just like those other fine softwares with horrible engineering due to cut-and-paste codes. All the key functions are now called directly from the respective Mambo and SMF functions. This means easier maintainance and
more secure integration.
Highlights:
- Straight-forward installation!
- Simple implementation!
- Works with Mambo default login module.
- Works with Community Builder login module.
- Syncronize Mambo and SMF users by just click of a mouse on initial installation. (and more...)
Demo Site: SquareSite.com and of course this site.

All
enhancements and bug-fixes are completed for version 1.2! This release is now 100% SEF enabled in wrapped mode.
Some automation
are also added to make installation really easy. If
the template was changed, it detects it and patching is just a click to
a link.
We can say that the goal of integrating SMF to Mambo is
pretty much completed. (Beta3 users: you don't need to upgrade if you
are not experiencing any issue. Check the announcement board for the change
log)

As many of you know, Microsoft has announced that it will be releasing
Internet Explorer 7.0 this summer to those who are on the XP operating
system in a project code named “Rincon”. The move is reportedly being
done to improve the security of the IE browser. However, with browsers
such as Firefox gaining market share, many people speculate that the
new Internet Explorer will come with more than just security
enhancements. Features such as tabbed browsing, built in anti-spyware,
and RSS aggregating are all features that appear to be coming with the
Rincon project.
